The intervention aimed to mirror the historical and aesthetic integrity of both the restored wall frescoes and the original floors, faithfully preserving the historic patina and ancient surface textures. Key Highlights: ● On-Site Tracing & Historical Drafting: Manual tracing of ornamental motifs using on-site rubbing overlays to replicate original geometric patterns and decorative borders with absolute historic accuracy. ● Custom Mix Formulation: In-depth sampling and formulation of traditional seminato alla veneziana binding matrix and aggregate mixes, precisely matching original aggregate sizing, color tones, and binder composition to recreate the original aged patina. ● Handcrafted Marble Detailing: Artisanal preparation and setting of natural marble tesserae, each hand-cut on all four sides and laid according to historic techniques to reproduce the tactile depth and texture of 19th-century floors.
