Architectural Reconstruction & Heritage Restoration – Private Villa Entrance,
Varese

Project Overview:
Complete architectural reconstruction of the historic Palladiana terrazzo entrance flooring at a private villa in Varese. Addressing failed previous repairs, structural detachment, and
chromatic inconsistencies, the original surface was systematically surveyed and recreated to enhance structural longevity while maintaining absolute fidelity to the original design.
Key Highlights:
● Survey & Geometric Reproduction: High-precision field measurement and
template mapping to faithfully replicate the original stone sizing, layout geometry, and
natural marble color palette.
● Substrate Stabilization & Waterproofing: Complete removal of degraded historical
layers followed by total substrate reconstruction and application of advanced
waterproofing membranes to ensure long-term structural stability.
● Hand-Crafted Surface Refinement: In-situ hand grinding and brushing using
specialized angle grinders, abrasive disks, and diamond brushes to produce a subtle,
organic texture. The intervention concluded with a protective hydrophobic sealant
treatment.
