Project Overview: Execution of specialized fine-scale micro-palladiana surface cladding for the steam room (hammam) within the lakeside Villa Troubetzkoy complex in Blevio, Lake Como. The intervention required precise off-site template fabrication to achieve complete architectural coverage across complex curved surfaces, vaulted ceilings, and custom-contoured seating. Key Highlights: ● Curved Volumetric Cladding: Total surface coverage of steam room walls, barrel-vaulted ceilings, and ergonomically shaped benches using fine-scale micro-palladiana, prefabricated off-site using custom full-scale templates. ● Pre-Polished Marble Application: Installation executed using pre-polished natural marble tesserae to ensure uniform finish quality and surface integrity across organic, non-planar geometries. ● Continuous Quirk Mitered Detailing: Precise 45-degree quirk mitered corner joints applied along all exposed edges and bench transitions, utilizing color-matched marble elements to maintain uninterrupted visual flow.
