Project Overview: Fabrication and specialized installation of the bespoke ceramic cladding for the site-specific artwork La Cantina de Guarene by Venezuelan artist Sol Calero, located at the Sculpture Park of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Guarene, Italy. Key Highlights: ● Execution Based on Master Artwork: Faithful translation of Sol Calero's original artistic design through individual hand-laying of ceramic tesserae produced in three distinct, calibrated sizes. ● Atelier Off-Site Fabrication: Pre-assembly of ceramic modules on fiberglass mesh reinforcement, with column cladding fabricated onto lightweight aluminum honeycomb and resin structural panels. This engineering step ensured precise linear continuity of the grid layout across the entire perimeter. ● Three-Dimensional Cladding: Coordinated structural installation encompassing vertical walls, cylindrical columns, low retaining walls, and integrated seating benches, finished with specialized epoxy grouting and edge alignment detailing.
