Venetian Seminato Flooring with Seamless Chromatic Transition – Private
Apartment, Milan

Project Overview:
Execution of traditional seminato alla veneziana flooring interpreted through contemporary
architectural surface design. Reflecting the heritage of bespoke Italian craftsmanship, the
project utilizes a sophisticated marble palette to define spatial transition through manual
aggregate placement across the interior layout.
Key Highlights:
● Chromatic Marble Palette: Perimeter framing cast in light Grigio Bardiglio marble
aggregate. The central field is executed with a custom-blended mix of Bianco Carrara
and Bianco di Verona marble chips to achieve a refined high-end interior finish.
● Seamless Transition: The transition between perimeter border and central field is
executed without metal divider strips or rigid joints. Aggregate particles were
hand-blended on-site to form a continuous, unified floor surface.
● Artisanal Material Execution: Manual placement, compaction, and
diamond-grinding performed according to traditional aggregate layer methods to
ensure structural homogeneity throughout the floor plane.
