Venetian Seminato Flooring with Geometric Mosaic Border – Private
Residence, Milan

Project Overview:
Fabrication and installation of traditional seminato alla veneziana flooring designed with clear spatial geometric definitions. The architectural surface incorporates specialized outer border bands and a calibrated selection of natural marble aggregates to delimit interior zones.
Key Highlights:
● Perimeter Border & Decorative Details: Outer border cast using a custom blend of
red marble aggregates. The perimeter band is accented by a geometric mosaic
pattern composed of hand-laid 2x2 cm marble tesserae in Nero Marquinia and
Bianco Carrara, punctuated by square inserts in Giallo Siena.
● Central Field Composition: The main interior floor field was cast using a balanced
aggregate mix of Giallo Mori, Biancone di Verona, Nero, and Botticino marbles,
providing defined chromatic contrast relative to the red perimeter border.
● Surface Grinding & Technical Treatment: On-site diamond-grinding and polishing
executed to achieve a satin semi-gloss finish, followed by the application of a
color-enhancing, stain-resistant protective sealant.
